Paper Piecing Technique for Cards and Scrapbook Pages

| Comments (0)

Paper piecing is a technique that provides additional interest to a card or scrapbook page. Generally speaking, it is a method of using several pieces of paper arranged to make another image. It can be as basic as using construction paper for a kids' craft project, or with additional effort can make a beautiful piece of art.

--> Here is a simple explanation of paper piecing.

Now, imagine the same technique using stamped images....

If you have any stamps with line images, you can create a page or card using the paper piecing technique.

Images are typically colored with marker, watercolor pencils, chalk, etc., then cut out and arranged.

--> Stampin' Up has a great paper piecing technique using the Happy Heart Day stamp set.

This is a great example. Look at your line image stamps, and try to pick out pieces of the image you can use for this technique.

Above all - have fun!
