Craft Supply Storage Solutions - Ribbon Organizer

| Comments (2)

I have (ok, I had) a drawer in my craft room that I used to store miscellaneous ribbons for crafts and scrapbooking projects.

Now I have a much more organized solution.

I was browsing through Target today and found some gift wrapping ribbon storage containers for under $3.00 each.

I decided that this was exactly what I needed to organize my extra craft ribbon, and ultimately reclaim the space in that drawer for other things.Ribbon_Organizer1.jpg

They are SNAPWARE Snap 'N Stack. I love that they were cheap. This is a good time to look for these. Now that Christmas is over the stores are trying to get rid of them. However, you can get them at any time of year online.

If you want to make your own ribbon organizer box, you can use a shoebox and small wooden dowel.

Ribbon_Organizer3.jpg1. Cut holes in the sides of the box for the dowel to slide through.
2. A slit can be cut in the front of the box for the ribbon to slide through, or you can leave the top off the box.
3. If you really want to go all-out, decorate the box by covering it with patterned paper.

--> There are also several other types of unique Snap 'N Stack storage containers.

Happy Organizing!

What a great idea! Simple too.

I currently have a shoebox filled with all my ribbons, (it's not nearly as organized as your shoebox though).

But now I think I'm going to try the Snapware...
