I recently joined a Meetup Group (not related to Scrapbooking or Stamping).
As I was looking around, I found there are really quite a few people out there who are looking for or have already joined a scrapbooking group.
Are you hoping to find others in your area who share your interest in scrapbooking or rubber stamping?
If so, they’re looking for you too!
Craft Meetup Groups
If you are not already familiar with Meetup.com, I’ll tell you this: no matter what you are interested in, you are not alone. There are groups literally from coast to coast that cover everything from politics to pets.
Personally, I am not a ‘social scrapbooker’. I get distracted admiring everyone else’s pages and all their fun tools. I’m much better off alone at my workspace if the intention is to actually get something done. However, my sister really loves going to late-night crops at her local scrapbook stores because she really gets inspired by seeing other’s ideas.
You can use Facebook groups to find others who may not live near you — but if you want to actually get together with others, try Meetup instead.
As of today, there are:
- Over 19,000 members in 589 Meetup groups related to scrapbooking
- Over 10,000 members in 328 Meetup groups related to rubber stamping
Chances are, there is one near you.
Meetup is also a great way to find local crafting events near you! Simply click on the “events” tab up top instead of the “groups” tab to see local scrapbook or stamping events.
It’s time to get together, exchange ideas, and have some fun!

Cardmaking is my jam! I enjoy using rubber stamps and scrapbooking materials to make my own homemade cards. I use Stampin’ Up products for a lot of my cards.
