For those of us who are addicted, we all know how much fun scrapbooking and rubber stamping is — especially when used together, as a hobby.
But did it ever occur to you that you could actually make money at it?
As someone who works from home full-time, I’m always looking for ways to maximize my income, and if you love to scrapbook and play with rubber stamps creatively, you can actually make money from your hobby!
Here are some ideas to consider…
#1. Start your own scrapbooking business where you create scrapbooks for others.
Some people just don’t have the time or inclination to create their own scrapbooks. They love the way a well-put-together scrapbook looks, but for whatever reason they are unable to create one themselves. Offering your services to people like this is one way to make money with your scrapbooking and rubber stamping skills.
#2. Teach others how to scrapbook and use rubber stamps.
The cool thing about teaching others to scrapbook and rubber stamp is that you will get to scrapbook and rubber stamp too! Once you get your students started and everyone is working on their own projects you will be free to work on yours as well. Scrapbooking stores, as well as community centers, senior centers, and community colleges will pay teachers to show people how to scrapbook, and use rubber stamps.
#3. Set up your own online scrapbooking and rubber stamp store.
This can be a bit more difficult particularly if you want to handle the shipping and receiving yourself, but there are other easier methods such as becoming another company’s affiliate and selling their supplies. This way you don’t have to worry about shipping and receiving and the company pays you a percentage of each sale of their products that you make.
#4. Make your own products to sell online.
Selling your own products isn’t as difficult as you might think. For example you could make packets of greeting cards. These could be particularly big if you did them around the holidays. You could also make bookmarks, gift bags and just about anything you can imagine with your scrapbooking and stamping skills. Start out with 4 or 5 sets of each item, take pictures with your digital camera, purchase a domain name and set up your website. Then with Paypal “buy now” buttons for each item, you are ready to sell.
Oh, and I’m sure you’re wondering about hosting, you can host up to 5 websites that have no forced advertising for free! I use them and can attest to the fact that they are great for the small business owner.
#5. Create unique scrapbook layouts and then sell those layouts online.
This can even work for digital scrapbook layouts — which can mean you don’t have to have much (if any) of an outlay of cash to create a layout!
These are just a few of the great ideas you can implement to make money with your scrapbooking and rubber stamping talents! With a little thought I’m sure you can come up with even more.

My favorite things to write about are topics that have to do with weather, pregnancy, weddings, saving money, living green, and my life with dogs. When I’m not writing, I love to spend time with my husband, read, create 3D artwork and Native American beadwork.
