One of my resolutions for this year is to try to remember birthdays.
I love making my own cards, but usually the occasion has passed before I remember it. So this year I’m going to have more cards made and ready to send.
I’ll be posting more of these cards (and other craft ideas) on this site, so come back often to see what’s new!
The first card for the year is a retro Birthday card.
Here is a list of the products used to make this retro Birthday card:
- Stampin’ Up Cardstock in Brilliant Blue, Tempting Turquoise and Green Galore
- Stampin’ Up Ink in Tempting Turquoise and Green Galore
- Stampin’ Up Rubber Stamps from the Simply Circles and It’s a Party sets
- Other items – white ribbon, metal circle tag (with the inside cut out) and silver brads. The “Happy Birthday” sentiment was heat embossed using an opaque white embossing powder to make it stand out. Using a pigment ink pad will also accomplish this effect, although you won’t have the dimension that you get from embossing.
Obviously, I use mostly Stampin’ Up products, but this look can be achieved using other products as well. If you’re interested in Stampin’ Up products, you can visit the Stampin’ Up website to find a demonstrator in your area.
Cardmaking is my jam! I enjoy using rubber stamps and scrapbooking materials to make my own homemade cards. I use Stampin’ Up products for a lot of my cards.
