I remember these lace 'doily' hearts from when I was a kid.

We were always doing little craft projects growing up, and I suddenly realized what a great (cheap) embellishment this could be for Valentine cards, gifts and scrapbook pages.

I got a pack of 24 for $2.00... you just can't beat that.

If you are like me, you look for ways to 'fill up' a card before sending it out.

Don't forget to look at your stash of patterned paper scraps (you are keeping those, right?) for adding interest to your cards.

I love cards that have stamped images colored by hand.

It takes time, and as soon as I see it I know it took some time to do.

My first Valentine Card for this year is a pretty easy one.

The stamped images are all embossed. I am a huge fan of this, since it not only makes the image "pop" off if the card, but the difference in texture and dimension makes the card seem like there is more to it than there actually is.

There isn't much to this card, but here's what I did....
