As I was standing in the Hobby Lobby rubber stamp section, trying to decide which $9.99 Halloween stamp I wanted to buy, I changed my mind about buying any at all (my Husband will be thrilled!).
The great thing about stamps is that you can use them hundreds of times... but how many Halloween Party Invitations do I really need?
Then it came to me. I was passing by the 30% off sign in front of the sticker section, and I realized that I don't have to be stuck with one stamped image for all of my invitations.
I found a sheet of Halloween stickers and a sheet of Halloween rub-ons that would be half the price of one stamp, and leave me with more images then I could possibly use for one Halloween season.
When you're planning handmade cards and party invitations, don't forget about using stickers and rub-ons. I personally get tired of looking at the same card over and over again (like when I'm making my Christmas Cards), so this was the perfect solution.
Different stickers and rub-ons are different colors and different sizes. In this case, each invitation that I send out will be different from the next. I love that!
If you don't have a generic invitation stamp like this one (or you just don't care to stamp), remember that you can always buy some pre-printed basic invitations and dress them up with some embellishments that fit the occasion.
This invitation was made using the following supplies:
Cardstock - Stampin' Up Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink - VersaMark, heat embossed in purple
Stamps - All Night Media Swirl Invitation
Extras - Halloween stickers and rub-ons
I love Stampin' Up products and use them whenever I can. You can certainly use any other products to make this invitation. Just use the idea and make it your own!
