Handmade Valentine Treat Bag

Valentine_Treat_Bag.jpgHow about some sweets for your Sweetie?

This is easy, quick, and best of all - handmade.

You don't need any Valentine-themed stamps, ink pads, or any other stamping supplies for this one...

TIP:  If you have a Michaels store nearby (doesn't everyone?), you can get everything you need for just a few dollars.

Supplies used for these Valentine treat bags:

  • Red and White Cardstock - cut to fit the size of the bag that you're using. The red cardstock was folded in half and punched with a small heart punch along the bottom edge. The white cardstock was cut to size and glued under the top flap.

  • Clear Cellophane Bags - I got these in the candy-making section at Michaels, but any small cellophane bag will work fine.

  • Twine or Cord - be creative, use whatever you have around the house. Twine, raffia and ribbon are all good choices.

  • Heart Punch - these small punches are fairly cheap. If you know anyone who might have some rubber stamping or scrapbooking supplies, check with them before you buy one.

Finally, you'll need some treats for your Sweetie.

Once you fill the bag, apply glue around the inside of the red cardstock and fold it in half over the open end of the bag. That will 'close' the bag until your Sweetie is ready to enjoy!
